From the bride: “Both Kyle and I are book lovers (and I’m a writer by trade), so when it came time to choose our wedding venue there seemed like no better location than the place where many of the world’s greatest love stories are housed: the Indianapolis Public Library. Even more than literature, though, we love to travel. Over the course of two years of dating, we’ve been lucky enough to eat macaroons under the Eiffel Tower, drink our way through Provence, watch the sun set over Cinque Terre, backpack the W Trek in Patagonia, hike the world’s 3rd largest glacier field, white water raft in Colorado, and sail along the Napali Coast in Hawaii, to name a few. These two loves—literature and exploring—became the inspiration for our wedding decor: card catalog-style seating chart, a globe guest book, water color sketches of authors’ favorite alcoholic beverages, used book centerpieces, and postcards with pictures taken from our travels as table numbers. DIY-ing many of the details became my happy place during the roller coaster that was planning a pandemic wedding.”
