After meeting Christine and Ryan at their engagement session, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to arrive! These two are as sweet as can be and have so much fun being together that I knew their day would be incredible, and it was! Despite the ever changing climate, they adjusted with each curveball thrown their way and continued to prove that their love is strong enough to handle anything! I had several favorite aspects from their wedding: There were so many meaningful, sentimental details that were woven into the beginning of their lives together. Christine wore a necklace and a ring from her grandmother, who also gifted her a poem written for each of her grandchildren on their wedding day. Their grandparents were so important to the couple that they cut down their guest list significantly so that they could be in attendance, and even had a special photo time with them outside before the ceremony began.
My other favorite part of the day was seeing how close their immediate families are. Both sets of parents were there to see them after their first look, and I glanced back to see their moms hugging while they watched their children together. Both mothers were with Christine as she got ready and shared special moments with her, and I could see how much both families just enjoyed being around each other during family portraits and the reception. Connection like that is so rare between both families and it was such a special thing to witness!
Christine and Ryan – it was an honor to be the one to document your fairytale day! Every aspect was perfect, and the backdrop of the Scottish Rite Cathedral could not have been a better choice for the classical elegance of your day. Thank you for inviting me in as a friend, and for your graciousness to me and my team throughout the day and in the weeks leading up your wedding – we had so much fun with your family and closest loved ones and don’t take for granted the opportunity to witness these intimate moments!
