It was a dream to adventure around downtown Charleston with Rachael and Michael last week! They are celebrating their nuptials in Charleston later this year, and wanted to celebrate their engagement in the city where they will be wed. We met at the historic Mills House (where their ceremony will take place!) to begin our shoot amidst the iconic blush pink walls and charming streets. We navigated through a few sprinkles of rain and were rewarded with an absolutely breathtaking golden hour! We made our way down to the battery, stopping along the way whenever we came upon a picturesque nook and ended at White Point Garden under the whimsical oak trees before we drove to Isle of Palms.
We found a beautiful open area of the beach to end our time together and celebrated by popping their custom bottle of champagne and glasses that were gifted to them from a close friend. The chilly water didn’t deter us from splashing around, and the warm glow of the low country light made every moment magical! I absolutely love that this session captured how fun Rachael and Michael are together and the sweetness of their love in a city that is so close to their hearts! I cannot wait to be back in October to capture their special day.
