From the bride: “My family is Chinese and James’s family is Korean– the wedding is largely American style but we have some extra touches! There will be a lot of red and gold colors, and the double happiness symbol will be everywhere. This symbol is only used at weddings, to represent doubling life’s happiness by coming together. Another symbol is 2 mandarin ducks, representing finding your mate for life-we will have a banner over our sweetheart table and it will be on the menu card. We will also have Chinese lanterns over the dance floor, and a Korean flower tower by the reception entrance.”
It was a truly spectacular wedding day for Jocelyn and James! Jen of Four Leaf Events brought the bride’s vision to life, beautifully celebrating their rich family cultures and legacy of love for their closest friends and family to see. I loved the unique touches – incorporating a color palette of soft pinks and greens accented with red and gold throughout each portion of the day. Cari of Interprintations designed a breathtaking suite complete with custom gold wax seals, a floral envelope inlay and signage that celebrated double happiness throughout the reception. Robyn of RK Florals is truly an artist – creating whimsical, romantic pieces for the ceremony site that made it feel like the couple was truly in an enchanted garden! It was an honor to photograph this special event, and our team wishes this sweet couple all the best in the beginning of their life together! Enjoy my favorites from their day at Coxhall Gardens.
