Colleen and James celebrated their wedding on a dreamy June afternoon, and from start to finish their day could not have been more beautiful. I met Colleen when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I shot last year, and I was so honored when she reached out to me to photograph her wedding before they had even chosen a venue! When she described her wedding as timeless and elegant with a palette of soft pinks and greenery I knew that we were a perfect match 😉 It was such a joy to walk through this season with Colleen and James and to celebrate with them at Newfields in Indianapolis – one of my very favorite venues in the city because of its European influence.
Colleen was a vision in her Stella York dress, and James looked dapper in his tuxedo (which he braved wearing through the heat index!) We had perfect light for portraits all around Newfields, and I captured some of my favorite images on medium format film to date! I could not have asked to work with a sweeter bridal party or families – Colleen and James are surrounded by some incredible, loving people which made the day that much more enjoyable.
Mr. & Mrs. Baxter – thank you for inviting me into this day and into this season of your lives! I have loved getting to know you and it was a joy to be at your side throughout the wedding activities. James, I love the way you cherish Colleen, and Colleen, I love the happiness that James brings out in you!
