No better time than quarantine to reminisce on past sessions, and today I’m thrilled to be sharing this destination engagement session with you all! Marie and Luke brought me to Chicago to photograph them, and I was thrilled!! We love Chicago and I even brought Tim and Evy along to enjoy some time in the city.
Right from the start I hit it off with Marie and Luke and we had such a fun day exploring the city, walking around even amidst some rain, and visiting the spot where they were engaged! They even treated Tim, Evy and I to dinner at their favorite restaurant after the session was done and we were so blown away by their kindness and generosity. To know these two is to love them, and words cannot express how lucky I am to be their photographer and to get to celebrate their wedding with them!
Although they had to reschedule their big day (originally in April of this year) due to the pandemic – they have been gracious and positive through it all. Even sending us a giftcard to their original rehearsal dinner restaurant. I mean, how amazing is that? They are one of the kindest and most thoughtful couples I’ve ever had the privilege of working with and have reminded me over and over again why I love this job so much – because I get to know this sweet couple and call them friends.
Marie and Luke – I love you guys so much!! I hope this post brings you joy as you look through and reminisce on this beautiful day. Your love for each other is something beautiful and cannot be deterred by a pandemic or quarantine! It is my honor to document your story and I’ve loved getting to know you both along the way.
