I met Taylor a few years ago when she assisted me at a wedding in Indianapolis. We hit it off right away, and I was so excited when she reached out to me as she began to plan her own wedding! She is a very talented photographer, so I was honored that she trusted me to capture her day. Taylor has excellent taste and an eye for design and style, so I knew her wedding would be incredible. She designed the paper goods herself, created a vision for the florals and the reception space and it was such a dream to capture every detail!
The day of their wedding called for heavy rain showers from the start of the day to the very end, which most brides would have a difficult time with. Taylor, however, took it all in stride, and she and Trey had an amazing attitude throughout the day, as did their friends and family. Their bridal party and families even created a beautiful indoor space for them to do their first look and portraits – they transformed her parents greenhouse with plants and antique rugs, and it was the perfect indoor space to escape the rain. Later on, we were able to catch a small break in the rainfall to take some portraits on the property of the Black Iris Estate, and they turned out beautifully! We loved celebrating with these two and all the people that surrounded them – we were warmly welcomed, thanked multiple times and genuinely felt so much love and kindness from everyone we interacted with, which is such a gift and reflection of the couple.
Taylor and Trey, thank you again for trusting me with these moments – I know especially as a photographer, how important these memories are, and I’m so honored that you chose me! In spite of the elements, your day was one of my favorites of the whole year – it couldn’t have been a more perfect end to my 2019 wedding season, and I hope you love the many, many favorites that I’m sharing today!
