Photographing couples like Howard and Ragan are the reason why I do what I do. I got to know them earlier this spring when they flew me out to Seattle, Washington to shoot their engagement photos. (A blog post coming on that soon!!) In the time we had together I saw their hospitality, graciousness, generosity and love for each other put on display. They welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like I had known them for years instead of just a few hours.
Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing – it felt like I had stepped into a chapter of the Great Gatsby! It’s unlike any other wedding I’ve ever shot, which is why I’m so excited to be sharing it today! Betsey of Elizabeth Events did a wonderful job of organizing the details for us – especially since Howard and Ragan were planning everything from Seattle! The Bell Event Centre in Cincinnati could not have been a more perfect backdrop for this couple. And just wait until you see her stunning Maggie Sottero dress, Jimmy Choo heels (a wedding gift from Howard), and the lush peony floral arrangements that accented the tables. I could go on and on about how much I love these two, and what an amazing time we had documenting their day, but the images tell the story best. Enjoy some of my favorites!
