It was a spectacular day for Andrew and Maddie’s heartfelt wedding celebration. The pervading Art Nouveau theme was carried throughout the day – from the custom invitation suite designed by the bride herself to the programs and reception details. It was one of Maddie’s concentrations for her master’s degree and her sense of style and design were seen throughout many aspects of their day. Lori of Boldly Chic truly brought her vision to life – creating a warm and welcoming garden party soiree with pops of color that was a vision to behold and photograph.
After their ceremony at Second Presbyterian, the guests were invited to Newfields to celebrate with the newlyweds. The cocktail hour began at the Sutphin Mall and Fountain – an Indianapolis landmark for over 30 years, in memory of Andrew’s great-grandfather. As the bride and groom took photos around the grounds, the guests were invited to journey back through the gardens to meet the couple on the back terrace of the Lily House for a champagne tower entrance and official welcome to the reception. Afterwards, the couple led their guests to the front lawn where a beautiful tent had been constructed to welcome them. Andrea of Bella Sorella created a whimsical floral entrance and once they stepped inside, greenery was cascading from the ceiling to truly bring the outside in for the party.
Maddie changed into a floral gown for the toasts and dances, with her vintage wedding ring from the 1920’s gracing her finger. The guests danced the night away with TVK Music and enjoyed a late night snack before the after party.
Mr. & Mrs. Sutphin – what an amazing legacy you already share! From meeting in middle school to choosing to spend the rest of your lives together, your love has carried you through so much and I know it will continue to strengthen and uphold you in the decades to come. Thank you for inviting me to capture these moments for you – it was my joy and honor to celebrate you and preserve these memories and your rich heritage.
