Kassie & Stefan (Blush & Navy Wedding at The Community Life Center in Indianapolis, Indiana)

Weddings

It’s hard to know where to start with describing Kassie and Stefan’s wedding day at The Community Life Center in Indianapolis. A week before their wedding day, Kassie’s brother, Kyle, passed away in a tragic accident. They decided to move forward with the wedding in the midst of their loss, believing that it would be what Kyle would have wanted as well.

It was an emotional and beautiful day as these two became one. You could tell that Kyle’s presence was greatly missed amongst all family members and friends, but in the midst of their sadness I saw a beautiful joy that could only come from Christ. They knew that Kyle was in the presence of the Jesus, and because of their shared faith, they would one day see him again. Kassie and Stefan’s wedding day was not only a picture of unity and love as they started their new life together, but it was also a beautiful reflection of God’s grace and mercy in the remembrance and celebration of Kyle’s life. He was remembered in the bracelets that the entire bridal party wore, he was remembered by Stefan and the groomsmen as a single white rose was placed on a pillar to mark the spot where he would have stood for the ceremony, and he was celebrated in the smiles of his family that look forward to the day when they will see him again.

Kassie and Stefan – it was such an honor to be the ones that shared this day with you. I was amazed by your strength and your hope, and I loved to see the way you supported each other throughout the day. It is so obvious that God brought you together for such a time as this, and to see the tender affection you had throughout the day was such a testimony of His grace in your lives. I loved that there was sunshine all morning – lighting up the beauty of your first look and the moments you shared seeing each other as bride and groom for the first time. I love that there was a rain shower that came and went during your outdoor ceremony – bringing laughter and smiles to everyone’s faces because no storm could put a damper on the love you have for each other. And I love that the sun made a final appearance at the end of the night, so that we could take the two of you to enjoy your first moments alone as husband and wife, dancing together underneath the trees as the sun set.

I can only hope that the images we captured do justice to the beauty of your relationship, and the special day that began your life together. So much love for you both!

Thank you to the creative team for Kassie and Stefan’s big day!
